Erasmus 30th anniversary closing events

On 30th of November 2017, the European Commission organized, in Brussels, the Erasmus 30th anniversary campaign closing event, where a representative of DGES was present (https://ec.europa.eu/programmes/erasmus-plus/anniversary/erasmus-30th-anniversary-final-event_en).  In this context, one of the activities organized was a high-level panel on the future of the Erasmus+ Programme after 2020, gathering the perspectives of the European Commission, the Member States, the European Parliament and the beneficiaries. On this occasion the Erasmus+ Generation Declaration on the future of the Programme (https://ec.europa.eu/programmes/erasmus-plus/sites/erasmusplus2/files/erasmus-generation-declaration_en.pdf), which consists of 30 proposals on 6 topics (societal challenges, skills gaps, civic engagement, inclusion, global dimension and simplification), was presented.

Throughout 2017 the Erasmus Programme 30th anniversary was celebrated all over the European Union, as a reminder of the impact of this emblematic and popular initiative (https://ec.europa.eu/programmes/erasmus-plus/anniversary/events_pt?country=All).

Various events also took place in Portugal during 2017, and on the 6th of November the celebrations closed with 33 debates “Erasmus talks: generation Europe” all over the country, organized by both Erasmus+ National Agencies and Fórum Estudante. At the “Erasmus talks” session, that took place in Lisbon (Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian), with the presence of the European Commissioner Tibor Navracsics and the Portuguese Minister of Education Tiago Brandão Rodrigues, 13 testimonies of Programme participants were presented (http://www.forum.pt/18221-erasmus-talks-ou-o-testemunho-da-geracao-europa).
