INTER-HED Project

The project has a duration of three years (started in November 2011), coordinated by Italy in partnership with five other Erasmus Mundus National Structures: Belgium (French Community), Ireland, Lithuania, Malta and Portugal.

The aim of the project is to collect and share information on several higher education systems as well as policies of internationalization, in particular through the creation of an online training course, with 2 editions, addressed to administrative and academic staff of Higher Education Institutions involved in joint programmes. It is based on the following three modules (i) Structures of the different Higher Education Systems, (ii) Joint management of programmes, and (iii) Recognition of qualifications.

The 1st edition took place between February and November 2013 and ended with a face to face day, which gathered the consortia and the participants. This session aimed to promote networking among participants and to put into practice the acquired knowledge and skills related to the creation and management of joint programmes (i.e Erasmus Mundus).

The 2nd edition of the online training course will take place from February to September 2014. The application phase is now closed and the selection phase is currently underway. The results will be published in January 2014.
